HOW IT WORKS

Homeowners typically install our system for one of three reasons: an insurance mandate, peace of mind against costly water damage, or the desire for reliable smart-home automation that actually protects the home. Whether installation is required or optional, our process is designed to be simple, transparent, and fully managed by our team from start to finish.

    Ordering & Scheduling

    Installation is ordered online at a flat rate based on standard installation conditions and compliance with our Terms of Service. In some cases—such as non-standard plumbing, restricted access, or site conditions outside the defined scope—pricing may increase. If we are unable to complete the installation under the agreed terms, your payment will be refunded. Once an appointment is scheduled, a $100 on-site arrival fee applies if the installation cannot proceed due to access, compliance, or customer-related issues.

    Professional Installation

    All installations are performed by our in-house, C-36 licensed plumbing professionals—never third-party subcontractors. We install the automated main water shutoff valve and deploy wireless water-detection sensors throughout the home. Access to the home’s main water line is required, along with reasonable access to place sensors in key areas. A Wi-Fi network and password are required for optimal performance. Cellular connectivity is supported, but Wi-Fi is still recommended even when cellular is enabled.

    System Testing & App Setup

    After installation, the system is fully tested before we leave. We simulate a leak to confirm automatic shutoff, restore water service, and walk you through the mobile app so you understand exactly how the system works. If you are enrolled in monitored service (available June 2026), you will receive an onboarding email to create your account and complete monitoring activation.

    Ongoing Protection

    Once installation and testing are complete, your home is protected by an automated water shutoff system designed to reduce risk, prevent catastrophic damage, and support insurance compliance. From that point forward, the system operates automatically—monitoring, alerting, and responding in real time when it matters most.
